Product shipping requirements
Yes, but glass products are shipped at your own risk and require careful packaging.
Yes. Glass products can be shipped using Bob Go courier partners.
However, it is important to understand the risks and liability conditions before booking the shipment.
Glass products are shipped without courier liability
Courier partners do not accept liability for glass products. If the goods are damaged, broken or stolen during transit, the courier will not accept liability for the loss or damage.
This applies to glass products such as liquor bottles, glassware, glass bottles and other items containing glass.
Glass products are not insurable under the applicable courier insurance policies.
Each courier follows its own insurance and liability policy, so we recommend reviewing the relevant requirements before shipping.
Because glass is fragile and is shipped without courier liability, careful packaging is especially important. We strongly recommend following the guidelines below.
Choose a box with enough space for the product and protective packaging, but avoid excessive empty space that allows the contents to move around during transit.
Use at least 5–8 cm of protective packaging material around all sides of the item. Fragile goods may require additional cushioning.
The parcel should be packaged to withstand a drop of approximately one metre.
Keep the parcel weight to a maximum of 17 kg.
Close the box using wide, pressure-sensitive plastic tape. The closure should be strong enough to hold the contents securely even if the parcel is turned upside down.
Clearly identify fragile parcels using a Fragile sticker.
Make sure the parcel also follows Bob Go's general packaging guidelines, including suitable external packaging, internal cushioning and secure closure.
Important
Following these packaging recommendations helps reduce the risk of damage, but it does not create courier liability or insurance cover for glass products.
