Is my parcel automatically covered?
Each courier available through Bob Go has its own automatic liability cover. The amount of cover, conditions, exclusions and liability structure differ from courier to courier.
It is therefore very important to review the liability and insurance policy for the specific courier you intend to use before booking your shipment.

How to add a declared value
When fulfilling an order from the Fulfill and ship screen:
- Go to the Shipment details section.
- Enter the amount you want to cover the parcel for in the Declared value field.
Before selecting Get Rates
Double-check that the declared value is correct before generating rates. Adding a declared value may affect the shipping rate.
What else should I know?
- Every courier has its own automatic liability cover, and the amount and conditions of that cover are not the same across all couriers.
- Some couriers operate with limited liability, while others may provide different levels of liability depending on the shipment and declared value.
- Adding a declared value may change the level of cover that applies to the shipment under the selected courier's policy.
- The Bob Go platform calculates the applicable rate according to the selected courier's liability and insurance structure when a declared value is entered.
- Make sure the parcel is packaged appropriately. A courier may reject a claim if the shipment does not meet its packaging requirements.

Do not assume that the same liability cover applies to every courier. Review the relevant courier's automatic liability cover, limits, exclusions and claim requirements before booking.
