How to cancel or change your plan

How do I cancel/delete my Bob Go account?

At Bob Go, you may choose to cancel your account at any time.

If you would also like your personal information to be removed, this requires an additional step after cancellation.

To cancel your Bob Go account:
  1. Log in to your Bob Go account
  2. Navigate to Account
  3. Select Manage subscription
  4. Click the Cancel subscription button below the pricing plans
  5. Complete the required steps to confirm your cancellation

Once cancelled, your account will be deactivated and any active integrations will be disconnected.

To request deletion of your personal information

After cancelling your account, you can request the removal of your personal data sending an email to support@bobgo.co.za.

Please include the following:
  1. Your full name
  2. Registered email address
  3. Bob Go account code
  4. A clear request for personal information removal
We may request additional information to verify your identity before processing your request.

What happens after your deletion request?

Once both steps have been completed:
  1. Your account will remain cancelled
  2. Your personal data will be deleted or anonymised, subject to legal and operational requirements
What data will be deleted?

We will delete or anonymise personal information such as:
  1. Name and surname
  2. Email address
  3. Contact number
What data may be retained?

Certain records may be retained where required for:
  1. Legal and regulatory compliance
  2. Tax and financial reporting
  3. Fraud prevention and security
  4. Dispute resolution
This may include:
  1. Shipment and transaction records
  2. Invoices and billing data
  3. Support and communication history

This data is retained strictly in accordance with applicable laws and for statistical purposes in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act. This information will be retained; not used, shared or sold. 

Processing timelines
  1. Account cancellations take effect immediately or within a short processing period
  2. Data deletion requests are typically processed within 2–5 business days, subject to verification and legal obligations

Alert
Merchants are required to make sure they cancel before the last day of the month to avoid being billed again for the subscription fee.
