How to cancel your Bob Go account and request data deletion

Cancel your subscription and, if required, request the deletion or anonymisation of your personal information.

You may cancel your Bob Go account at any time.

If you would also like your personal information to be removed, this requires a separate data deletion request after your account has been cancelled.

Important billing notice

Make sure you cancel your subscription before the last day of the month to avoid being billed again for the subscription fee.

Cancel your Bob Go account

  1. Log in to your Bob Go account.
  2. Navigate to Account.
  3. Select Manage subscription.
  4. Select Cancel subscription below the pricing plans.
  5. Complete the required steps to confirm your cancellation.

What happens when I cancel?

Once cancelled, your account will be deactivated and any active integrations will be disconnected.

Request deletion of your personal information

After cancelling your account, you can request the removal of your personal information by emailing support@bobgo.co.za .

Please include:

  1. Your full name
  2. Your registered email address
  3. Your Bob Go account code
  4. A clear request for your personal information to be removed

Identity verification: We may request additional information to verify your identity before processing the request.

What happens after your deletion request?

  1. Your Bob Go account will remain cancelled.
  2. Your personal information will be deleted or anonymised, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.

What personal information will be deleted or anonymised?

This may include personal information such as:

  • Name and surname
  • Email address
  • Contact number

What information may be retained?

Certain records may need to be retained for:

  • Legal and regulatory compliance
  • Tax and financial reporting
  • Fraud prevention and security
  • Dispute resolution

This may include:

  • Shipment and transaction records
  • Invoices and billing data
  • Support and communication history

Data retention

Information that must be retained will be kept strictly in accordance with applicable laws and for statistical purposes in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Retained information will not be used, shared or sold.
