How to connect Shopstar to Bob Go

Shopstar has built an integration using Bob Go's open API. The integration enables orders and shipping information to synchronise between Shopstar and Bob Go, helping to reduce duplication and manual errors.

Step 1: Set up Shopstar in Bob Go

  1. Log in to Bob Go and go to Sales channels in the left navigation panel.
  2. Under the API channels, select Shopstar and click Generate Shopstar API key.

  1. Enter your store URL and click Create sales channel.

  1. A unique API key will be generated automatically. Click the key to copy it. You will use this key to connect Shopstar to Bob Go.

  1. Go to Settings → Webhook subscriptions.
  2. Regenerate the webhook secret.
  3. Select your preferred webhook topics and subscribe to them.

Good to know: Keep the generated API key available while completing the setup in Shopstar.

Step 2: Connect Bob Go in Shopstar

  1. In the Shopstar left navigation menu, go to Integrations → Browse integrations and select Bob Go.

  1. Click Connect, paste the API key generated in Bob Go and click Submit to save the connection.

  1. Go to Settings → Shipping and Collections and select Bob Go to configure your integration preferences.

Rates at checkout

Important: Bob Go rates at checkout will only be displayed when all items in the order have their weight and dimensions configured.

If any item is missing the required weight or dimensions, customers will receive the shipping rates configured in Shopstar instead.

Once connected: Orders should automatically sync to Bob Go after the integration has been successfully configured.
