How to set up lockers and pickup points at checkout

Give customers the option to collect their orders from eligible lockers or pickup points available through Bob Go.

How locker and pickup point delivery works

Locker and pickup point delivery gives customers the option to collect their parcels from a convenient collection location instead of receiving a door-to-door delivery.

Bob Go currently supports pickup options through providers such as Bob Box and Pargo.

Once the order is fulfilled in Bob Go, the parcel is collected from the merchant and delivered to the customer's selected locker or pickup point. The customer is then notified and receives the information needed to collect the parcel.

What happens at checkout?

To offer lockers or pickup points as a delivery option, Bob Go Rates at checkout must first be enabled on your online store.

  1. The customer enters their delivery address at checkout.
  2. Bob Go identifies eligible lockers or pickup points within approximately 5 km of the entered address.
  3. The customer selects their preferred collection location.
  4. Once the order is fulfilled, the parcel is sent to the selected locker or pickup point.
  5. The customer receives a unique collection PIN or the relevant collection instructions.

How to set up lockers and pickup points

  1. Log in to your Bob Go account.
  2. Select Rates at checkout from the left navigation menu.
  3. Select Create service level and choose Pickup point.

Configure the pickup point service level

Set the following options:

  • Maximum number of pickup points displayed
  • Handling time
  • Delivery timeframe

Select Create service level to save your setup.

Once the service level has been created successfully, it will appear in your Rates at checkout setup and can be managed from there.

Bob Box and Pargo

Bob Box lockers and Pargo pickup counters are examples of pickup services that can be offered through Bob Go. The available locations shown to the customer depend on the entered delivery address and the eligible pickup options available in that area.

Configure your own pickup point rates

You can edit the pickup point service level and configure your own rates instead of using the default provider rate.

Rates can be configured according to:

  • Minimum and maximum parcel weight
  • Minimum and maximum order value
  • Delivery zone: Local, Main or Regional
