User role: ShippingAgent
Imagine having a dedicated agent for every warehouse, making your product fulfillment smooth and hassle-free. Say goodbye to complexity with shipping agents – no matter how many locations you have.
A shipping agent has limited access to Bob Go and can only access and manage orders and shipments assigned to them. An AccountSuperUser must link a Shopify location, or WooCommerce shipping class or vendor, to one or more shipping agents, allowing them only to fulfil orders/items from that specific location. Please note that a shipping agent cannot use the quick or bulk fulfillment options.
This user role is currently only available for Shopify and WooCommerce.
Smart shipping suggestion:
Multiple shipping agents can be associated with a single Bob Go collection address and Shopify location, or WooCommerce shipping class or vendor. This enables a backup shipping agent to take over if the primary agent is unavailable on a particular day.
Shipping agents on Shopify
To link a shipping agent to a specific Shopify location, navigate to sales channels in the left navigation menu and select your Shopify channel to open the channel settings.
Each location can be associated with a distinct Bob Go collection address and/or shipping agents. This enables the linked shipping agents to solely fulfill orders containing items stocked at the linked Shopify location. After fulfillment, the courier will collect the fulfilled order/item from the specified Bob Go collection address.
Shipping agents on WooCommerce
To link a shipping agent to a specific shipping class or vendor, navigate to sales channels in the left navigation menu and select your WooCommerce channel to open the channel settings.
WooCommerce utilises shipping classes and/or vendors (via the Dokan plugin) to connect shipping agents and Bob Go collection addresses. This allows a shipping class or vendor to be associated with a specific Bob Go collection address and shipping agent. Consequently, order items linked to the relevant shipping class/vendor can only be fulfilled from the designated Bob Go collection address.
Shipping agent settings
Further settings can be managed by navigating to sales channels in the left navigation menu and selecting shipping agents in the sub-menu.
User role: StoreAgent
The Store Agent (user role: StoreAgent) is a dedicated in-store staff role designed specifically to handle Pickup in Store orders securely and efficiently.
This role makes it simple for customers to collect their online orders at your physical store by using just a waybill number (reference) and a one-time OTP (One-Time Pin) sent to them.
Key features of the Store Agent role:
Limited access: Store Agents can only view the pickup/reference screen and enter/verify the OTP. They do not have access to other parts of the system (such as order management, customer details, inventory, or admin functions).
Secure order completion: When the customer provides their order number and the correct OTP, the Store Agent enters the OTP, and successful verification automatically marks the order as completed/collected.
