Understanding shipment statuses

Knowing where your parcel is in the delivery journey helps you and your customers stay informed.


Below is a breakdown of each shipment status you might encounter on the Bob Go platform, with a quick explanation of what it means:​

Pending collection
The shipment has been created and is waiting for the courier to collect it.

Collection failed attempt
The courier attempted to collect the parcel, but was unsuccessful and will re-attempt.

Collection exception
Something went wrong during the collection process. The courier may need assistance or to reschedule.

Collected
The parcel has been successfully collected by the courier.

In transit
The shipment is on its way to the delivery destination or the next hub.

Out for delivery
The parcel is with the driver and will be delivered.

Delivery failed attempt
The courier tried to deliver the parcel but was unable to complete it and will re-attempt.

Delivery exception
There’s been an issue with the delivery, this could include delays, incorrect addresses, or other problems. Assistance will be required to complete the delivery

Delivered
Success! The parcel has been delivered to the recipient.

Ready for pickup
The parcel is waiting at a pickup point, ready for the recipient to collect.

Finalised
The shipment is manually marked as completed and not updated through the system from the courier.

Collected and returned to hub
The parcel was collected but is now back at the courier’s hub to be returned to sender.

Returned to sender
The parcel is on its way back to the sender, usually due to multiple failed delivery attempts or specific requests. 

Cancelled
The shipment was cancelled before it was collected or processed.

Cancelled by courier
The courier cancelled the shipment (this could be due to service limitations or operational issues).
