Bob Box and Pargo Rates at checkout

Bob Box and Pargo offer nationwide networks of smart lockers and pickup counters, providing customers with a secure, convenient, and discreet way to collect their parcels.

When an order is fulfilled and a shipment is created through Bob Go, a courier collects the parcel from the merchant and delivers it to the customer’s selected locker or pickup counter. The customer is then notified and can collect the parcel using a unique collection PIN.

How do Bob Box and Pargo Rates at checkout work?

To offer Bob Box or Pargo as a delivery option at checkout, you must first enable Bob Go Rates at checkout on your online store. This enables Bob Go to calculate and display eligible pickup locations during checkout.

When a customer enters their delivery address at checkout:
  1. Bob Go identifies available Bob Box lockers or Pargo pickup counters within approximately 5 km of the address.
  2. The customer selects their preferred pickup location.
  3. Once the order is fulfilled, the parcel is delivered to the selected location.
  4. The customer receives a unique PIN to collect the parcel.

How do I enable Bob Go Rates at checkout?

Follow the setup guide for your ecommerce platform:

Setting up pickup points on Rates at checkout

After enabling Bob Go Rates at checkout:

  1. Log in to your Bob Go account.
  2. On the left navigation panel, select Rates at checkout.
  3. Select Create service level and select Pickup point.

  4. Set the maximum number of pickup points, handling time, and delivery timeframe and select Create service level to save your settings.

  5. Once the service level has been created successfully, it should look like this.

Configuring your own pickup point rates

You can edit the service level and configure custom rates for pickup points instead of using the default provider rate.

Rates can be configured according to:

  • Minimum and maximum parcel weight
  • Minimum and maximum order value
  • Delivery zone: Local, Main or Regional

These settings give you control over which locker sizes and delivery zones are available to customers, as well as the rates displayed at checkout.
